Riverview Beavers
Our office received a few complaints and concerns regarding two furry friends in Riverview.
The two big beavers seemed to have moved, however, evidence of their home, and fallen trees can still be seen. Last week-end I visited along the river, walking and inspecting wanting to see these two beavers rumored to be as large as dogs! If you have pictures of the beavers please send them along!
Occasionally the city is involved hearing about problematic beavers like this sad situation last year in St. James. Our wonderful animal services folks love beavers. Beavers, however, remain protected under the Manitoba government Wildlife Act.
