Do you plan to build a new deck, enjoy a new hot tub, or outdoor pool this summer? In addition to your sweat equity, many summertime projects require a permit.
Formerly, a convenience only offered to contractors, the Permit Online service is now open to all homeowners. The City of Winnipeg staff process Permits Online applications Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Permit Application Processing Times are online for review.
Building permits provides a view to compliance for the city including important life-safety issues. Permits Online can get you past construction to enjoyment by supporting you as an applicant to create an account, manage active permits and applications, submit documents, make online payments and track the status of your applications.
The permit categories now available to homeowners through Permits Online includes new construction of such residential building projects as:
- Detached garage;
- Deck;
- Carport;
- Outdoor pool;
- Hot tub/spa; and,
- Other structures larger than 10 m2/108 sq. ft.
