On October 24th, I was part of a major housing announcing in Fort Rouge-East Fort Gary: construction has began on the Ellswood—a seven-story, mixed-income housing project led and owned by Brokenhead Ojibway Nation.
The complex is located at 269 River Ave. It will provide 147 rental units, 60 of which will be affordable (one‐bedroom units expected to rent for under $800 per month).
