As we approach Winnipeg’s 150th anniversary soon, it is important to remember the histories that make up our beautiful city. We cannot properly commemorate our 150th anniversary without the work of archivists dedicated to this exact goal.
That is why I am excited to share that the preliminary 2023 budget includes $12.6 million for the Carnegie Library.
We must preserve the history of Winnipeg and repair our relationship with the archivists who dedicate their time historicizing and commemorating our wonderful city.
