Regulating Short-term Rentals
The Executive Policy Committee approved forwarding a report to regulate short-term rental accommodations to Council.
The report was amended by EPC to include licenses for short-term rentals, a 5% accommodation tax on these rentals, and allowing renters to operate up to three short-term rentals in addition to their residence. While it is not as tough as I would like it moves to regulate an industry that to date has been unregulated.
