Preliminary Draft Budget 2023 was tabled today at the Executive Policy Committee.
The draft budget is guided by five priorities, including: affordability, environment, safety, economic development, and service improvement to citizens. In line with these priorities the draft budget containsincreased investment to:
- 311,
- neighbourhood action teams,
- trees,
- active transit,
- transit,
- housing and 24/7 safe spaces,
- Millennium Library, and;
- a home for Winnipeg's archive.
Draft budget 2023 contains a budget page for the Winnipeg Archives.
It is an exciting and important step to getting a new home for Winnipeg’s collection and preserving the historic building on William Avenue.
