Winnipeg Receives Additional Funding Through Rapid Housing Initiative
Winnipeg will receive an additional $11.6 million in funding.
The funding will be used to enhance the delivery of affordable housing units that support vulnerable people in Winnipeg, including those experiencing homelessness.
In addition to the RHI, Winnipeg has built affordable housing units through the Affordable Housing NOW Program, which supports approved projects through two funding streams: Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Grants and Capital Grants. As well as other funding streams through the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
