I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Jim Carr’s passing. I am sending my condolences to Jim’s family, friends, and all of the team of colleagues he had in the House of Commons. Jim was an incredible public servant who worked for Manitoba until the very end. Not only was Jim a hardworking parliamentarian, but he was also a community advocate, champion of the arts, gifted musician, and loving father.
I had the honour of working alongside Jim the better part of the last decade and saw firsthand his dedication to the constituents of Winnipeg South Centre. Jim always defended the interests of Manitoba on the national stage and worked towards a better future for everyone.
I wish Jim’s loved ones peace during this difficult time and am sending them my deepest sympathies. Jim’s passion, dedication, and leadership will be greatly missed.
