Face masks continue to be required in City-operated facilities and vehicles, including Winnipeg Transit.

As part of the City of Winnipeg's commitment to protecting the health and safety of residents and employees, the City of Winnipeg will continue to require face masks in all City-operated facilities and vehicles, including while riding Winnipeg Transit.

The authority to mandate the use of face masks in City-operated facilities is within the existing authority of the Chief Administrative Officer.

The Director of Winnipeg Transit has authority to require face masks on Winnipeg Transit vehicles, including Winnipeg Transit Plus vehicles.

In addition to requiring face masks, the City will increase capacity within City-operated fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, and libraries over the coming weeks.
