New Amenities coming soon to Crescent Drive Park
Crescent Drive Park Pavilion is almost completed and a new playground is currently being built there this month. These will be exciting new park amenities and I look forward to the grand opening celebrations in the near future. Residents have been very patient with the construction, and related delays of construction due largely to the pandemic!
Increased Usage of Winnipeg Parks
Use of City Parks have increased significantly over the course of the past year. Some parks seeing increases of 65-90%. With increased usage there is ultimately an increase in garbage accumulation and an increase in the usage of the washrooms which present issues for cleanliness.
40 members from Community Services have been redeployed to assist in caring for Winnipeg’s Parks to ensure cleanliness and also to act as Community Ambassadors.
