Sewer Outfall Repairs – North Drive at the Red River

Starting the week of February 16th crews began a 3 week project to repair the sewer outfall along the
bank of the Red River just north of North Drive.  This meant trucks bulldozed some newly planted trees damaging hard work of community volunteers committed to beautification and permaculture.  Some of this will be repaired following the work.  I am committed to working with the team in Wildwood to building back during the regular planting season.

Land drainage is important.  Outfalls are structures that drain urban runoff, carried by land drainage pipes to the rivers. These types of repairs must take place between January and March, when rivers are frozen and water is not flowing through the outfall pipes.

Safety information:

  • Your water, sewer and recycling and garbage collection services will be maintained throughout this project.
  • We ask that you and your family please stay away from the construction site for safety reasons. This
project may also restrict some parking and traffic in your area. We understand that this may cause you some inconvenience.  You patience is appreciated.
