Joining the National Climate Caucus
I’ve recently connected with the Climate Caucus joined the hundreds of locally elected leaders in taking action on climate change at the Climate Caucus.
As a member I have access to:
- a network of like-minded councillors across the country offering support and advice
- a wealth of local climate action resources so that we do not have to reinvent anything that has already been successfully implemented in another province
- a stronger voice with provincial, territorial and federal governments for better regulatory authority
- resources for local governments struggling to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change.
Given what we are facing in the city, and the food security crises we are seeing with needs going up across the city. I have signed up to participate in the Food Security Committee, but there is so much more worth doing with respect to the climate crises.
